Incoming AFP chief to intensify fight vs illegal drugs, Abu Sayyaf

QUEZON City, Philippines – Incoming Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Ricardo Visaya recommended to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte the establishment of a Presidential Task Group that will focus on the problem of illegal drugs.

The group will be composed of members of the AFP, the Philippine National (PNP) and other government agencies. Visaya is also keen to put an end to the threat of the Abu Sayyaf Group by improving deployment of troops as well as increasing manpower to to fight the terrorist group.
