Iglesia ni Cristo flag raised at the City Hall of Edmonton, Canada

It is with great pride and honor to witness the Iglesia ni Cristo Flag-Raising held at the Edmonton City Hall today, July 27th which marks the 102nd year anniversary of the re-establishment of the church in the Philippines.

Through the dynamic and powerful leadership of the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, members of the Church in the Edmonton Region united and expressed their gratitude to God’s unceasing love and care by being part of yet another historic and momentous event.

The Iglesia ni Cristo Flag-Raising has been an annual event in the Edmonton Region which was spearheaded by the local congregation of Edmonton South in 2009.

The event was graced by the Philippine Consul General Mrs Esmeralda Agbulos. She has been one of the many witnesses in the fast growth, the continuous hospitality, the genuine brotherhood and generous love and affection shown and shared by the members of the Church particularly in the Edmonton Region.

She said “This is because of the help and guidance of our Lord God”. Indeed, it can be seen and understood that the living God of the Iglesia ni Cristo has made it possible for the church to stand firm and strong despite the many obstacles it continues to face.”

Members in the Edmonton Region together with all the brethren around the world has one thing in mind and heart, God has made it possible for the Church to reach its glorious statute celebrating 102 years in existence and no matter what, they will remain steadfast and will continue in the service of the Lord.
