(Eagle News)–The House of Representatives has approved on third and final reading the P4.1-trillion national budget for 2020.
The vote was 257-6, without any abstention.
President Rodrigo Duterte had certified as urgent the proposed national budget.
Last year, the House and the Senate figured in a budget impasse, prompting the government to operate with a reenacted budget in the first few months of this year.
The President signed the budget in April.
For 2020, the Senate has yet to pass its own version.
