“A beauty queen is not exempted from paying taxes,” Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares said and added that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach must report her earnings to the BIR when she returns to the Philippines on January 23. According to Henares, this includes Wurtzbach’s crown which is worth $300, 000 or Php 40 million.
