De Lima stops over briefly at Muntinlupa court

(Eagle News) — Senator Leila de Lima dropped by briefly at the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court.

The white van she is riding pulled up in the hall of justice premises around 11 a.m.

De Lima faced Branch 204 Judge Juanita Guerrero for the return of the warrant of arrest the judge issued against the senator.

The warrant stems from one of three cases filed against De Lima in connection with her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa.

After around five minutes, De Lima went back to the coaster.

The judge is expected to issue a commitment order that will specify where De Lima will be detained.

Around 30 t0 40 riot police are on standby in the area.
