Former Ombudsman Morales, who filed ICC complaint vs China’s Xi, held at Hong Kong airport

(Eagle News)—-Former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales has been held by immigration authorities at a Hong Kong airport.

Reports quoting Morales’ lawyer Anne Marie Corominas said Morales was not allowed inside the special administrative region of China for a family vacation after being considered a “security threat.”

Morales was scheduled to be deported on Tuesday evening.

Morales was one of two who filed a complaint before the International Criminal Court against China President Xi Jinping.

Apart from Morales, former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario acted as complainant in the complaint lodged over China’s alleged construction of artificial islands  in the disputed South China Sea.
