Former Customs intelligence officer cited in contempt anew

(Eagle News)–Two House committees cited in contempt a former Customs intelligence officer for “not telling the truth.”

The House committees on dangerous drugs and government and public accountability cited Jimmy Guban in contempt after he failed to disclose information on what was supossed to be the P6.8 billion worth of shabu hidden in magnetic lifters found in Cavite.

President Rodrigo Duterte has said there were no drugs in the empty magnetic lifters found in Cavite based on the results of a test conducted on the containers.

Earlier, Guban was cited in contempt by the Senate blue ribbon committee for the same reason and was ordered detained.

Guban is one of those accused of allowing the entry of the four magnetic lifters which the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said contained shabu.
