Former Batangas town vice mayor hurt in shooting incident

(Eagle News)–A former vice mayor of a Batangas town was injured after an unidentified gunman shot him on Saturday, July 14.

A police report said  Ferdinand Malolos Ramos, who served in the town of Sto. Tomas, was on his way home when he was fired at in Barangay Poblacion 2 at 7:25 p.m.

The bullet hit the left part of his face.

He was rushed to Saint Cabrini Hospital for treatment.

The suspect fled on foot.

The attack came after the killings of Tanauan, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili; General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Ferdinand Bote; and Trece Martires, Cavite Vice Mayor Alexander Lubigan.
