Fire hits more than 200 houses in Muntinlupa City; leaves 400 families homeless

(Eagle News)– A fire razed a residential area in Muntinlupa City on Monday, June 4.

The fire hit more than 200 houses in Espeleta Pantalan, Brgy. Poblacion, leaving 400 families homeless.

The flame immediately spread to adjacent houses as they were made of light materials.

Residents reported hearing explosions as the blaze reached the third alarm.

Bureau of Fire officials declared fire out at 1:57 p.m.

Meanwhile, the local government of Muntinlupa, through the Social Service Department (SSD) has distributed relief goods to affected families.

They also installed temporary shelters for the fire victims.

SSD will be providing a five-day feeding program to all the affected individuals in the area.
