“Felix Manalo” to premiere at the Philippine Arena

QUEZON City, Philippines, August 21 (Eagle News) — Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) can be proud of the biopic movie about Brother Felix Manalo – the man recognized by the members of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) as God’s Messenger in these last days.

The “Felix Manalo” movie will be shown in theaters nationwide starting October 7, directed by Joel Lamangan. “Felix Manalo” stars Dennis Trillo as Ka Felix, and Bela Padilla as ka Felix’s wife Ka Honorata.

In an interview with Award-winning Director Joel Lamangan, he said that making the movie is a big challenge for him. He also said that the movie is beyond compare to the previous movies he had made.

Meanwhile, INC Spokesperson Brother Edwil Zabala said that the biopic also portrays the trials and triumphs of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Brother Zabala also clarified that the timing of the movie’s release doesn’t have any connection with the current issues surrounding the INC.

Viva Films made the movie “Felix Manalo” in cooperation with the Iglesia Ni Cristo.

According to Vincent Del Rosario, Production and Marketing of the Film, the movie costs 150-million pesos.

Del Rosario also said that surely, the movie will be patronized primarily due to its historical value.

In an interview with Del Rosario, he said that the film stars more than 90 artists, with 54 shooting days in eight months.

On the other hand, actor Dennis Trillo and actress Bella Padilla said that they are very thankful for the lead given to them.

The premiere night of the “Felix Manalo” movie is scheduled on October 4, 2015 at the Philippine Arena.

A world screening is also in the works so that INC members around the world may be able to watch the film. (Eagle News Service)
