Experts in academic and corporate learning to gather in 3-day international summit in Manila

Manila, Philippines – Learning Summit 2016, the Global Online Association for Learning’s (GOAL’s) three-day international summit on global trends and innovations in learning, will take place on February 16 to 18, 2016, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), this event will gather experts in the fields of academic and corporate learning. Expected to attend are leaders in the academe and in the fields of telecommunications, ICT, banking and finance, healthcare, energy, BPO, manufacturing, real estate, retail, travel, FMCG, automotive, and other key vertical markets.

Learning Summit 2016 will feature a host of prominent experts and personalities who will speak about learning insights, techniques and technologies to hundreds of participants. Among the speakers is internationally renowned futurist and analyst, Mr. Elliott Masie. He is the second most influential person in eLearning in Bob Little Press and PR’s list of the Top 10 Movers and Shakers around the world. Masie is the head of the Masie Center, a think-tank focused on learning and knowledge within the workforce, and leads the Learning Consortium, a coalition of 230 global organizations committed to improving the field of learning.

Other notable speakers include Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, CEO and Artistic Director of Ballet Manila; Olivier Ochanine, Music Director of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra; Olivier Serrat, Principal Knowledge Management Specialist of the Asian Development Bank; and Sr. Marie Rosanne Mallillin, SPC., University President of Saint Paul University Surigao, among others.

Key topics to be covered in the summit include Open and Distance Learning in the Philippines; Future-Proof Learning; Social Learning: the #AlDub Phenomenon; Notepad to iPad: Making Millennials Learn; The Arts and Kinesthetic Learning; Music as a Learning Catalyst; and Dare to Be Different: Unconventional Learning.
