Edgar Matobato, now under PNP custody

QUEZON City, Philippines – Self-proclaimed member of the Davao Death Squad, Edgar Matobato surrendered to the Philippine National Police after the Davao City Municipal Trial Court issued a warrant of arrest regarding the case of illegal possession of firearms passed against him.

Senator Antonio Trillanes accompanied Matobato when he surrendered to PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.

A Davao court has issued an arrest warrant for his arrest warrant after he failed to show up at his scheduled arraignment on Tuesday over the case filed against him in 2014. The case is for illegal possession of firearms.

Matobato said he is resigned to his fate, and leaves everything to God.
