Duterte welcomes Indonesian President Widodo in state visit; several agreements signed

President Rodrigo Duterte officially welcomed President Joko Widodo of Indonesia in a ceremony at the Kalayaan Grounds of Malacañan Palace on April 28, 2017.

President Widodo is in the Philippines for a state visit and is also set to participate in the 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit chaired by President Duterte.

After the welcome ceremony, the Indonesian leader is ushered inside Malacañan Palace for the signing of the guest book.

Presidents Duterte and Widodo witnessed the signing of several agreements in a ceremony at the Malacañan Palace later.

The agreements include the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Agriculture and the Joint Declaration on Connectivity.
