(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has slammed members of Kadamay anew for occupying government houses meant for uniformed personnel.
“The Kadamay members have no manners at all,” Duterte said in a speech in Tagum on Tuesday night.
According to Duterte, he, however, “refused to fight them” even after their takeover because they are Filipinos.
“They might shoot at us. I’m not prepared for that. That is the spirit of the government. I will not fight with you,” he added.
Members of the Kadamay forcibly took the housing units meant for soldiers in Pandi, Bulacan in 2017.
The President in a public speech urged soldiers to give the houses to members of the group whom he also criticized, promising the uniformed personnel newer and bigger homes.
Kadamay members again later attempted to occupy housing units for policemen and soldiers in Rodriguez, Rizal, but were fended off.
