(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte met with China’s Vice Premier Hu Chunhua in the Palace on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The Palace said the meeting was on infrastructure projects that would be financed by China.
Duterte told Hu the Chinese official’s visit was an indication of “growing friendship” between the Philippines and China, the Palace said.
Accompanying the Chinese official were China’s Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, State Council Deputy Secretary-General Gao Yu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vice Minister Zheng Zeguang, Ministry of Commerce Vice Minister and China International Trade Deputy Representative Wang Shouwen, among others.
