Drug lords could have paid ASG amid Davao blast- Bato

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Monday (September 5) did not eliminate the possible involvement of drug lords in Davao blast, saying that they could have paid Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) to bomb the night market.

“Itong Abu Sayyaf pera-pera lang ‘yan. Nangingidnap nga sila para sa pera eh. Kung ako mayamang drug lord sabihin ko sa kanila magbomba na lang kayo,” Dela Rosa told reporters in a press briefing in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
According to Dela Rosa, there could be also drug lords outside the National Bilibid Prison who funded the terrorist group.
“Still hindi natin madi-discount yung ASG na ginawa nila ‘yan because of military and police operations against them,” Dela Rosa added.
Three persons of interest– a man and two women– who may be responsible for the bombing are being hunted by the police.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte already offered a P2 million reward for information and identities of the suspects and their arrest.
