DOJ’s Aguirre counters Aquino’s denial of responsibility on Mamasapano encounter

Quezon City, Philippines (Eagle News) – Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that he does not believe in former President Benigno Aquino III’s denial of responsibility for the Mamasapano tragedy.

Aguirre also challenged Aquino to subject his personal phone under forensic examination in order to check what really were his commands to those directing the Oplan Exodus, particularly former Philippine National Police Chief Cesar Alan Purisima.

Aguirre was the counsel who represented former Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) Commander Getulio Napeñas during the investigation of the Mamasapano encounter.
