DOH to parents: Avoid excessive sugar and salty food for your children

(Eagle News) — The Department of Health (DOH) advised parents to monitor the food intake of their children, and to make sure that they avoid excessive sugary drinks such as softdrinks, and salty food such as junk food.

Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy, assistant secretary of the DOH, said that parents should prepare nutritious food for their children to avoid obesity and non-communicable diseases.

Lee Suy also said that instead of giving pocket money to their children when going to school, parents should prepare food that that will serve as their kids’ healthy “baon”
