QUEZON City, Philippines – Department of Health spokesperson, Dr. Lyndon Lee-Suy, denied allegations that the temporary closure of the Dr. Jose Fabella Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Manila will result in its privatization as well as the lay-off of its employees.
The allegations caused a vigil and walk-out of the employees and patients of Fabella in protest. According to Lee-Suy, the temporary closure of the hospital was due to the construction of a new building.
