Dinalupihan, Balanga in Bataan placed under state of calamity

(Eagle News) –Dinalupihan and Balanga in Bataan were placed under a state of calamity as heavy monsoon rains continued to pound those areas on Sunday, July 22.

In a Facebook post, Balanga-PIA said Bataan National High School and Bataan People Center were now “open for evacuees.”

Mayor Gila Garcia said rescue operations were already ongoing in Dinalupihan.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the southwest monsoon was being enhance by Tropical Depression “Josie,” which is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday, July 23.
