DFA: No latest reports of COVID-19 deaths among overseas Filipinos

(Eagle News)–There are no latest reports of COVID-19 deaths among overseas Filipinos, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

According to the DFA, the death toll remains at 763 as of Sept. 8 then.

The Middle East and Africa still had the most number of deaths, with 482, followed by the Americas with 178, Europe with 95, and the Asia Pacific region with eight.

Seven additional COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos brought the total to 10,136.

The DFA said the Middle East and Africa also had the most cases, with 6986, followed by the Asia Pacific region with 1184, Europe with 1168, and the Americas with 798.

Recoveries have reached 6333 with the additional 10 from the Asia Pacific.

The Middle East and Africa had the most recoveries with 4170, followed by the Asia Pacific Region with 870, Europe with 837, and the Americas with 456.

The DFA earlier said it would continue its daily repatriation efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with Metro Manila under a general community quarantine.
