(Eagle News)–A fishing vessel carrying 11 people, including seven Filipinos, sank off the waters of Brunei, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Monday, Aug. 12.
The DFA said only two survivors were rescued from the sinking of Radims 2, with search and rescue operations terminated on Sunday.
The DFA said it was still monitoring developments.
Brunei’s National Search and Rescue Coordination Committee has already asked the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency for assistance in locating the other missing crewmembers.
The last communication between the owner of the vessel and its captain was on Wednesday, August 7.
