DFA consular office in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte to entertain only residents of province with confirmed appointments during MECQ: DFA

(Eagle News) — The Department of Foreign Affairs’ consular office in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte will only entertain applicants with confirmed appointments and whose residence is within Ilocos Norte for the duration of the modified enhanced community quarantine in the province.

The DFA as such advised all passport applicants of the consular office  whose appointments fall  from Aug. 1 to 15 and who are coming from outside the province not to proceed with their scheduled appointment.

Affected applicants may send an email to the consular office at dfasannicolas.rescheduling@gmail.com to reschedule their appointment at a later date.

The new schedule, the DFA said, shall be when the provincial government deems it appropriate to allow the entry of non-Ilocos Norte residents to the province.

The Palace announced new classifications for some areas on Friday, July 30, after the Department of Health confirmed the local transmission of the highly contagious Delta variant in the Philippines.
