(Eagle News) — The Filipino seafarers who were on board one of the two oil tankers that were damaged in a supposed attack near the Strait of Hormuz on June 13 are back in the country.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said the 11 Filipino seafarers of MT Front Altair arrived on Wednesday, June 19.
Details on the repatriation of the 21 seafarers on board MT Kokuka Courageous were not made available so far.
“The (11) seafarers were given airport assistance by DFA and (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) representatives and their manning agency,” the DFA said.
None of the Filipino seafarers was harmed in the incident.
