Dela Rosa: Policeman nabbed together with widow of Marwan, Janjalani dismissed from service

(Eagle News) — The policeman who was arrested along with the widow of Zulfikli Bin Hir alias Marwan and Khadaffy Janjalani has been dismissed from service.

Philippine National Police  chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa made the announcement on Monday, after  SPO4 Andy Atta was nabbed together with Juromee Dongon and her other relatives for their alleged terrorism links in Lanao del Norte.

“Imbestigahan pa natin nang husto para malaman natin extent ng participation ng police na ‘yun,” Dela Rosa said.

Authorities said Atta was married to Lorelei, a sister of Dongon, who was among those arrested.

Dongon was married to Janjalani, a leader of the kidnap-for-ransom group Abu Sayyaf, until he was killed in 2006.

She later married Marwan, who was killed in a police raid in Mamasapano, Maguindanao in 2015.

According to the police, found in Dongon’s house were firearms and explosives.
