Dear Future president…

QUEZON City, Philippines (October 28) – The election for the next president is drawing near and the candidates have started to seduce the people to collect much needed-votes. All those sweet words,  promises about the future and caring actions you showed the public, is it for real or an image made for a propaganda? Is it so much to wish for that you keep your words and put it into action.

To whomever may win in 2016 presidential election, you promised good things to your people and country and the Filipino people believed in those promises. Please do not betray our trust.  You now have the power to make those promises possible. Your flattering words and action that lure us into rooting for you, we all hope it’s sincere and true.

As the next president, please try not to repeat the mistakes made by your predecessors.  Prove to us that we made the right decision. With the taxes of the Filipino people within your reach, we know it’s tempting but put in mind that it’s not yours to take, it’s our money and the country’s wealth.

We all hope that you are the solution to the country’s problem which remains unsolved for the past decades. You have inherited the country’s problem about poverty as well as our country’s crippling debt. It is now your responsibility and we hope that in your hands we will surpass all these difficulties and survive.

When time comes and a crisis emerges, don’t ever run away and act like a coward and hide behind those high walls of the palace, be the kind of president is not afraid to take the forefront, be the kind of president that will lead us and show us the real definition of good governance.

We are not begging you, we are commanding you. We are not your servants, we are your priorities and right now all we can do is hope that you are suitable for that position.
