De Lima arraigned on drug charges in Muntinlupa court

(Eagle News)—Senator Leila de Lima was arraigned for conspiracy to trade illegal drugs in a Muntinlupa court on Friday, Aug. 10.

But De Lima did not enter a plea for the charges, prompting Branch 205 to enter a not guilty plea for her.

De Lima, who is detained in Camp Crame, is facing other drug-related cases in other Muntinlupa courts.

The cases stem from her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison when she was justice secretary.
