Customs exec tied to payola shipped to Sulu

(Eagle News)– Special Police Captain Arnel Baylosis, head of the Operations Intelligence Office of the Enforcement Group of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) , has been transferred to Mindanao for being allegedly entangled in multi-million bribery.

A corruption complaint was filed against him with the Department of Justice.

Baylosis allegedly received millions of pesos of bribes since 2012.

Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon revealed Baylosis activity in a press conference in Malacañang on Monday.

Faeldon also signed the transfer order of Baylosis on August 23.

According to Faeldon, Baylosis received P100-220 million a month. Affidavits against Baylosis were submitted to Faeldon as he took charge of BOC.

“The case was forwarded to the DOJ so that they will be the one to conduct investigation and come up with whatever courses of action necessary,” Faeldon stated.
