(Eagle News)– The Southern Police District (SPD) kick started on Monday (September 5) its “reinvigorated” Oplan Tokhang at some high-end villages in Makati City, such as Forbes Park and Magallanes Village.
“Itong activity namin na to is the reinvigorated Tokhang. We go to the residence and we give them flyers. We inform them of the PNP’s anti-illegal drugs campaign,” SPD director Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario explained.
“Nandito yung procedures to follow, at the same time, nandito yung contact numbers and contact agencies in case mayroong problema sa, not just illegal drugs, pero yung problem sa criminality like theft, burglary, and others. More of information dissemination itong ginagawa namin,” he added.
The SPD already conducted the police operation in the villages of Urdaneta and San Lorenzo.
Even the homes of several ambassadors were not spared from Oplan Tokhang.
Earlier, Philippine National Police Chief (PNP) Director General Ronald Dela Rosa directed his men to quadruple their efforts in order to meet their target of eradicating illegal drugs within President Rodrigo Duterte’s first three to six months in office.
