The House of Representatives is asking the Department of Budget Management to explain where the sin taxes are going. As per Republic Act 10351 or Sin Tax Law, said tax should be used for the universal healthcare program as well as for the construction of hospitals and clinics in various places in the country but members of the lower house observed that many Filipinos remain outside the coverage of the universal health care program.
