QUEZON City, Philippines – The Commission on Election (COMELEC) should not allow the resignation of Commissioner Christian Robert Lim, head of the Campaign Finance Office. According to election lawyer, Atty. Romulo Macalintal, this may set a bad precedent.
Macalintal also said that COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista should allow the late filing of the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) but the penalties provided by law should also be imposed.
