Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL; PAGASA monitors active tropical cyclone outside PAR

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA said Typhoon “Krosa” was spotted 1945 kilometers east of extreme N. Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 175 kilometers per hour.

“Krosa,” PAGASA said, is moving northwest slowly.

Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will still have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as the
southwest monsoon affects Luzon and Visayas.

Flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate rains are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
