Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL as southwest monsoon affects W. Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the country as the southwest monsoon affects the western section of Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, in particular, will experience those conditions.

Flash floods or landslides due to occasional heavy rains are possible.

PAGASA said the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The western section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
