Cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers expected in parts of PHL

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the Philippines.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience those conditions due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Isolated  flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
