THE Hague, Netherlands – According to Solicitor-General Florin Hilbay, China’s argument in the international arbitral tribunal was weak and without basis.
Legal counsel for the Philippines gave emphasis to China’s ban on fishing against Filipino fishermen as well as the conduct of exploration activities.
They also added that China’s historical claims in the West Philippine Sea is not recognized in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
