China to give free firearms to the PNP

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police will receive new free firearms from China.

This was confirmed by PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa on Wednesday, May 17.

According to the PNP Chief, China promised to give 23,000 M4 rifles to the PNP.

Dela Rosa said that if not cancelled, the additional firearms will be a great help to the capability of the PNP in protecting areas with security threats.

“Kung matuloy yon, okay pa rin, pero we need more kasi. We are 75,000 eh. 23,000 lang ang ibibigay so malaki pa rin ang kakulangan. Pero malaking tipid na rin yan galing sa China kapag natuloy,” he said.
