As of 2 a.m., Marcos lead over Robredo just over 50,000

 

(Eagle News) — Previous vice-presidential frontrunner Ferdinand Marcos Jr., narrowly hangs by a margin of just over 50,000 as his lead over the administration’s vice-presidential candidate Leni Robredo continued to nosedive as of 2 a.m.

On the wee hours of Tuesday, May 10, Marcos’ lead continued to go down dramatically as the Commission on Elections’ partial and unoffial returns reported by the Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas’ quick count came in.

The latest tally gave Marcos, who was running as an independent, 12,717,756 votes, while Robredo’s votes increased to 12,657,990.  Marcos’ lead thus dwindled to just 59,766 votes.

As of 1:20 a.m., his lead was 116,590 votes:  Marcos had 12,593,119 votes compared with Robredo’s 12,476,529 votes as of that time.

But after 40 minutes, this lead was further reduced to just 59,766 votes.

As of 2 a.m., May 10, the latest vote count based on the unofficial and partial returns of COMELEC is as follows:

The previously wide almost 1 million-vote lead of Marcos Jr., over Liberal Party vice-presidential bet Robredo further dwindled to just over 50,000 votes in just five hours as the latest unofficial and partial quick count based on election returns of the COMELEC count provided by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) came in.

In just a matter of five hours, Marcos’ lead dove down to just over 50,000 from the almost 1 million vote lead he had as of 9:00 p.m., on May 9, when Marcos had 10,475,373 votes compared to Robredo’s 9,557,784
