BREAKING NEWS: Comelec allows voting until 6 p.m. in some precincts; Nat’l Board of Canvassers convenes at PICC

(Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections has passed a resolution allowing the extension of voting until 6 p.m. for precincts where voting had started at 9 a.m. or even later.

This was contained in a tweet by the Comelec, and also by Comelec commissioner Rowena Guanzon.

Guanzon said that the Comelec resolution made en banc was passed upon her motion.

There had been several reports of delayed voting in some precincts because of malfunctioning vote counting machines.

The poll body has in fact replaced 150 vote counting machines as of 2 p.m.
