(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Immigration on Wednesday, Sept. 25, confirmed the woman who allegedly buys recycled illegal drugs from “ninja cops” has left the country.
Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Guia Gomez Castro was allowed to leave because she had “no derogatory records.”
Authorities said Gomez, who won as chair of Barangay 484 Zone 48 but failed to take her oath in 2018, was already in the United States.
It was Manila Police District director Vicente Danao who revealed the identity of Gomez, whose operations were revealed by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief Aaron Aquino during a Senate hearing into the proposed budget of PDEA.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Guillermo Eleazar said 16 policemen who colluded with Gomez were no longer in active service.
