Because of poverty, this old lady made a house out of plastic bottles

Can you build a house entirely made of plastic bottles?

This 86-year old woman did it 12 years ago, and her house still stands strong in in the village of El Borbollon, El Transito, west of San Salvador, on March 14, 2017.

She built her house in 2005, not with the usual bricks and cement, or wood, but with the use of plastic bottles which she recycled into this small house because she had no money to buy the usual construction materials for building a home.

So she made use of what was available, and free — plastic bottles.

She even made use of bottle caps as part of the flooring for her house.
