At least seven hurt in blast in Sampaloc; explosion possibly due to LPG tank leak, authorities say

(Eagle News)–Seven people, including a 3-year-old, were hurt in a blast in Manila on Sunday, June 2.

The blast at the Yogurt & Teahouse establishment on Dalupan St., which took  place at 8:10 a.m., injured bystanders Marilyn O. Parreño, 57; Merliza M. Defeo, 42; Shiley M. Villarazo, 47; Live Espino, 28; Mark Joseph Macabale,3; Jeffrey R. Hernandez, 28; and Raeniel Garcia, 37.

They were rushed to the Mary Child General Hospital.

An  initial report said the blast was possibly caused by an LPG gas leak as no parts from an explosive device were found in the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident.
