(Eagle News)–Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo urged the public to forgive and spread kindness as they bid goodbye to 2018.
In her New Year’s message, Arroyo urged Filipinos to “greet the new year with gratitude to God for all His blessings and hope for a peaceful and prosperous Philippines.”
“Let us not build fences but spread kindness and compassion. Let us not sow division but unity, not hate but forgiveness,” she said.
She said she hoped the New Year would bring “endless opportunities to fulfill our dreams and be a true blessing to others.”
Earlier, a Pasay court junked the electoral sabotage case filed against her in connection with alleged cheating in the 2010 elections.
This was after the plunder case and the graft case over the NBN-ZTE deal filed against her were also dismissed by the Sandiganbayan and the Supreme Court.
With the dismissal, Arroyo no longer faces any case in court.
