DAVAO del Sur, Mindanao – In his press briefing in Davao del Sur, President Noynoy Aquino called the re-opening of the investigation of the Mamasapano incident in the Senate as politically motivated, adding that as the election nears, it is now the time for his political adversaries to take the opportunity to stir the negative emotions of voters against the administration. He also added that it was Senator Juan Ponce Enrile who made the motion to re-open said investigation and it cannot be set aside that Enrile may want to get back at President Aquino due to his imprisonment while facing charges due to the pork barrel scam. On the other hand, President Aquino also welcomed the said re-opening, saying that this is a good opportunity to complete the Senate investigation of the said incident.
