(Eagle News)—-Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday, Oct. 8, defended President Rodrigo Duterte’s trip to Hong Kong, saying he deserved some private time.
“I really believe that he deserves private time. He has to stop and smell the flowers too,” he said in a television interview.
According to Andanar, “if there’s anything about that, it’s the president showing his love for his family and he works so hard, he deserves it.”
“Family is number one,” he said.
Duterte, his daughter Kitty and partner Honeylet Avancena went to an unscheduled trip to Hong Kong on Friday and returned on Sunday.
