Aftershocks cause panic in Surigao City

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — – After the magnitude 6.7 earthquake hit Surigao City, the local government is facing the challenge of calming the residents of the city due to the aftershocks, with Surigao City Vice-Mayor Alfonso Casura asking the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS) to go to Surigao City to assure the city’s residents.

Although the electric supply in Surigao City has returned to normal, the water supply in the city is still a problem.
