AFP to guard against NPA’s “permit to campaign”

QUEZON City, Philippines, August 17 (Eagle News) — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is going to take actions against the New People’s Army’s (NPA) “permit to campaign” especially now that the 2016 presidential elections are near.

According to the AFP, the NPA usually asks for payment from running candidates in exchange for protection and also the guarantee that they will not sabotage said candidates’ campaign.
