77 more COVID-19 recoveries push PNP recovery tally to 6,240

Seventy-seven more policemen have recovered fr COVID-19, the PNP has said./PNP/

(Eagle News)–Seventy-seven more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police said the increase pushed the recovery total to 6240 as of Wednesday night.

Seventy-four more COVID-19 cases, however, pushed the total to 6904.

Of these, based on PNP data, 643 were active.

No additional death has been reported, which means the death toll remains at 21.

The PNP has vowed to protect the  health of police personnel, who are among the country’s frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Only recently, the PNP inked an agreement with the Makati Medical Center.

PNP Chief Camilo Cascolan also vowed all policemen on duty during the modified enhanced community quarantine and the enhanced community quarantine were entitled to COVID-19 hazard pay.
