7.1-magnitude quake shakes Mexico; rattles citizens and tourists

A powerful 7.1 earthquake hit Central Mexico on Tuesday, shaking buildings in the capital of Mexico, Mexico City. Vendors and shoppers huddled together inside a local mall Pabellón Cuauhtémoc as the terrfiying tremor lingered. Local police led residents to the Jardín Ramon López Velarde park to keep them away from Centro Medico Nacional Siglo XXI after reports of a gas leak. This, after an 8.4 quake hit the southern coast of Mexico earlier this month killing 98 people.
