4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Norte early Thursday, June 9

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Thursday, June 9.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:56 a.m.

The epicenter was 93 kilometers northeast of Burgos.

The depth of focus was 1 kilometer.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
