(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 26 kilometers southeast of Itbayat at 11:02 a.m.
Depth of focus of the quake was 14 kilometers.
An instrumental intensity I was felt in Basco.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
